For the past two years at Beaumont High School Chris has grown more mature as a young man. He has exemplified the meaning of "leading by example." This past season he played an integral part in the Cougars passing game as he has the capability of going up high and getting the ball.

Chris is the consummate team player. He always would do what was asked of him, and we could count on him to help the younger players get better at their skills. He always would do whats best for the team. On campus he has been a leader amongst the student body as well. Chris always represents Beaumont well, and has a bright future as a young man.

John Holder

John Holder
6'0" 180 Lbs.

John Holder became our leading passer in school history the past 2 seasons as a starter in 18 games. In his 2 season he was 231 of 450 for 2591 with 17 passing TD's (all Team records) and another 4 rushing TD's. He also set team records for passing yards in a single game (376), pass completions in a single game (27) and TD's in a single game (4).
He has been voted, my teammates, the Team MVP the past 2 seasons and received River Valley League All League this year 2016.

John is a tremendous student in class. Taking over 10 Honors and AP classes to challenge himself academically. He will need it because he plans on studying aerospace engineering in college.

John was placed in a tough situation when he had to replace an all league quarterback the third game in to the 2015 season because of injury. He stepped right in and lead us to victory, against our rival school Rubidoux. John, also in only his second start, threw for 376 yards and 4 TD's. He has seized the roll of leader on our campus and in the community. He is a part of our Reading Buddies program that goes to a near by elementary school and reads to the 2nd graders, I believe this is beneficial to both our players and the elementary students.
He is not only a starting QB but has also participated on our CIF Swim team all 4 years here at Patriot.

Over the past 3 years I have come to know David as a student and a football player. He has demonstrated to me that he is a very competent and dedicated person. His hard work and determination has led him to become one of our defensive leaders on the field, in the weight room, and across the campus. I have witness first hand him making life changes with his grades, work ethic, and leadership abilities. He was elected team captain by his teammates, and has been an outstanding example to all students on RMHS campus. When he arrived at Rancho Mirage High School his priorities were not being a student athlete. His junior year the light bulb came on and he became a different person. He was more focused on life after High School, and began to shine in the classroom, and on the field.

I am extremely proud to have had him as a member of my football program. David is a self-motivated person who strives for perfection in every aspect of his life. His discipline and attention to detail will allow him to be successful in any challenge he faces in life. I believe that the future holds unlimited possibilities for him. When he sets a goal, he does everything possible to achieve it. He strives to get better every day in all facets of his life.

I believe that David has a bright future. If he continues to apply himself, and dedicates himself to his craft, he will be very successful in his life.

Defensive Back

Jason Pickens has been a two year starter for the Rancho Verde Mustangs football team and also played some varsity as a sophmore as well. This year as a senior Jason was a unanimous choice for Team Captain and did an outstanding job of leading by example with his play on the field and his leadership skills off the field.
On the field, Jason had 5 interceptions with 2 of them returned for touchdowns, 87 tackles, and a fumble recovery. He was such a threat to opponents that during the second half of the season opposing teams would stay completely away from him. He was awarded with 1st team All-League, and 1st team All-CIF for our division.

Jason Pickens has been an outstanding student here at Rancho Verde High School. He received the RVHS Scholar Athlete award two years in a row, has stayed on the Principal's Honor Roll, and currently holds a 3.85 GPA.
Jason is an active member of the community through his work with the Perris Church of Christ. There he has been involved with activities that include; helping the poor, feeding the homeless, and clean up projects.
Rancho Verde Mustangs Leadership Council is the program we use with our team to help build character and create leaders, and Jason was a vital part of that leadership council which at times required him to make some very tough decisions; in which, he did an outstanding job of always putting the team needs first.
Away from the football team, Jason was involved in the Young Men's Leadership council which is a leadership council team for the entire school.

Jason has spent the last four years as a key member of other clubs as well like; ASB, Black Student Union, and Link Crew, making him one of the more popular students on campus.

Fidel Romo has shown a tremendous amount of leadership in the past 2 years as a Banning Bronco Football player. He is a leader for our football team on and off the field. He has a tremendous work ethic. He is usually the first player in the weight room or on the practice field, and the last one to leave. He is often seen working out on his own. He is definitely a player that sets his own standards and limits and has a growth mindset. He is always helpful to other players and students, and is liked and respected by his teammates.
He is also a great student at Banning High School. I always get compliments from teachers and administration on what a great young man he is.

Fidel was also President of the Bronco Football Club. He helped me organize fundraisers and had great ideas on how to promote the club. Kevin has been an honor and joy to Coach and Teach. I have had the greatest pleasure watching this young man grow into a Man. He is dedicated and passionate in all that he does. He is well known and liked among his peers and teachers. He shows integrity and high character in his actions and how he carries himself. He has become a mainstay on the Team and is known and respected as a hard worker on the Team, which in turn earned him a nomination and eventually voted as a Captain.

He has served the community and gave over 34 hours of his time thus far this year and over 124 since he has been at Linfield. He recently went to Mexico for the opportunity to build 3 homes for those that are in need as a member of the House Building Mission/Service Team. I could not be happier for Kevin and his family for all of the hard work that has been put in to his development as a young man in Christ.
