Michael Coglietti

DB, RB, KR 5’7″, 145 lbs.
 Yrs. Old

Michael Coglietti is a big reason why the 2012 Banning Broncos made a big turnaround from being predicted to finish last in the Mountain Valley league to eventually becoming the 2012 MVL Champs. Coglietti had 147 tackles, 7 interceptions while playing defense these past 2 seasons. Coglietti had 346 yards on 55 carries for a 6.29 average rushing, he had 4 receptions for 60 yards witha 15 yard average recieving, and had 264 all purpose return yards his senior year. He was also named 1st team All-MVL his junior and senior years. Coglietti was named 1st team All-CIF for his outstanding play on defense. He is also a member of the Riverside County All Star Team.
Coglietti currently has a GPA of 3.0, and a cumulative GPA of 3.0
Michael Coglietti is a great youngman. He voted one of the 2012 Banning Bronco Football Captains. Mike was chosen by his peers and coaches because of his committment and desire to be the best he can be. He also has an uncanny ability to rally people around him to be the best they can be. He was always on time and prepared to excel in all team functions. He was always willing to put in the extra time and hard wo! rk, to g o the extra mile, to become the best he can be. He also excels in 2 other sports besides football. He was league champion in his weight class as a wrestler his junior year (he will be a 4 year letterman in wrestling this year), and has played on the Banning High School Tennis Team since his Sophomore year. Michael Coglietti is willing to give back to his community and school. He is an officer in a number of clubs at Banning High School and part of the leadership ASB team at Banning High School. Coglietti also volunteers for a local youth organization, “Litl Broncos”, by helping organize drills and workouts for youth in the Banning community. Coglietti tutors and mentors these same youth to help them understand the role of the scholar athlete. Membership in the “Litl Broncos” requires pre high school students to maintain a 3.0 GPA. Michael Coglietti’s character is impeccable. I have never heard teachers, administrators, or felow students and teammates say negative things about him. I have witnessed on numerous occasions Coglietti doing what is right and doing the “Right thing”. He is extremely disciplined and maturer for a 17 year old. He is raised by a hardworking single father, so mike has had to be responsible and reliable, beyond his high school years. Michael is also a very amiable young man, respectful to adults. It is refreshing these days to have the opportunity to work with a young man like Michael Coglietti.

Calvary Murrieta Christian School

Head Coach: Brad Schwab

Brody Myers

DE, 6’4″, 235 lbs.
18 Yrs. Old

This year, my football team, the Calvary Murrieta Warriors, went 7-3, just missing the playoffs. I had 10 sacks, 61 tackles, 1 forced fumble, 1 fumble recovery for a TD, 18 catches for 360 yards for 4 TDs in my 3rd year on Varsity (10th and 11th grade I played Center instead of Tight End). I was recognized for 1st team All-League in the Ambassador League and made 3rd Team All-Valley. I’ve also been on the “All-Warrior” team three years in a row. I went to two different Blue-Grey combines, the first in Oxnard and then the Super Combine in Canton, Ohio and was then invited from the Super Combine to be a part of the Blue-Grey National All-Star game in Tampa Bay, FL at Raymond James Stadium. In the game, I got a sack, a tackle, and a fumble recovery. Finally, this year was topped off by getting a scholarship to play football at Minot State University in North Dakota.
Academically, I excel as well. Last semester, I obtained a 4.0 weighted GPA with two AP classes (AP Macroeconomics and AP US Government) and I have a cumulative GPA of 3.54. Earlier this year, I was named Murrieta Student of the Month for my school and I am now up for nomination for Murrieta Student of the Year. I was nominated into the National Honor Society at Calvary at the end of my sophomore year and was added to the National Society of High School Scholars that school year as well. I was elected Chaplain by our NHS members to serve as the Chaplain for the entirety of the year this year. As I have previously mentioned, I am taking two AP classes this year, Macroeconomics and US Government, and I took AP Language last year and passed it with a 3.
Being a leader is something that was somewhat placed upon me. At our school, there hasn’t always been a leader on the campus and I’m blessed to be a leader at my school. For starters, I’ve been a captain for three years on the Varsity basketball team and was one of four captains on our football team. I was awarded the leadership award by my basketball coach this year, a man who is a naturally born leader and is constantly looking for a leader on and off the court. God has blessed me with the opportunity to be an example to those who are younger than I am due to my athletic and academic achievements. Our school is elementary school through high school and the junior high and high school are on the same campus, so we interact with each other quite frequently. Sometimes junior highers I’ve never met before come up to me and just want to talk to me because I’m a celebrity to them. It may seem vain, but God is able to work through my accomplishments so that I can be an example to the younger generations at Calvary. Additionally, most people in the high school look to me as the school spirit leader in that I’m always dressing up for the spirit weeks at school (and also on random days) and I pride myself in reviving the school spirit a little bit.

James Toland’s academic awards include: 2009/10 SHHS high academic award winner 2010/11 Riverside county department of mental health special recognition award. 2011 SHHS academic honor roll 2011/2012 High academic award winner 2012 academic honor roll 2011/12 AP U.S History outstanding student of the year award.
James is an outstanding young man. He is the type of kid that every coach dreams of having on their team. James has been a leader of our team since we opened our school 4 years ago in 2009. James is the perfect example of being a leader by example. His actions in the weight room, off season drills, practice, and games show desire, commitment, and dedication. I can always count on James to go full speed and pick the tempo of the drill up to the desired level. James has never been the yelling vocal leader but when he did demonstrate this side of him his teammates listened and responded in a way that only James could have commanded.
