David graduated from San Jacinto High School in 2011, where he was an all-league and all-cif performer in football for the Tigers. He was also the 2011 NFF Scholar-Athlete as well. He also broke the school triple jump record with a leap of 46’3”.
He then attended Iowa State University on a football scholarship beginning in the fall of 2011. He played 3 years for the Cyclones, before declaring for the 2015 NFL Draft.
He signed with the Kansas City Chiefs and was initially on the practice squad. In Week 2 of the NFL Season, David was signed to the active roster of the Dallas Cowboys where he appeared in 15 games as both a DL and DE. He was also a stand out special team contributor, who had a blocked field goal against the Seattle Seahawks. He finished the season with 15 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and 4 tackles for loss. He also received votes for the 2015 NFL All-Rookie team.
He is the proud father of a 3 year old daughter, Zoe, and currently resides in Moreno Valley in the off-season.
